Upgrade help

OK, so I have a standard computer that I bought from Incredible Connection last year. I have been playing games on it since and have found that I can run the latest games UNTIL recently with Homefront and Black Ops etc...

I started to think what I would need to upgrade on my pc to make it run the games faster.
Here is my CURRENT specs:
Processor: i5
Ram: 4GB
Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 5450 (1771MB total available graphics memory)
OS: Windows 7 Professional 32 bit

I thought at first that it might just be my graphics card, I thought it wasn't that good, until I got a reply from a guy I contacted at DialaNerd who said that my Graphics card was "high-end" and that I just needed to upgrade to 64 bit windows to be able to play the latest games.

I currently have Portal 2, MW3 and BF3 on my wishlist and I hope that by then I will have upgraded to a spec that can run them.

What must I upgrade to be able to improve my gaming experience?
 
Your OS "OS: Windows 7 Professional 32 bit" doesnt support 4GBs of Ram basically doesnt allocate that much but if you move to 64 bit you can use 4GBs of ram or alot more when you upgrade your PC

That guy from Dial a nerd is talking shit to you. A 5450 is not high end for gaming. It might be high end for office and internet but it doesn't possess enough grunt for BF3 to run "high end" at all.

Is it a laptop or desktop pc?

windows 32 bit uses a maximum of 3.25 gigs. Just remember that having a 64 bit OS uses more resources so you would probably only gain about half a gig of ram speed.

VERY important information there.

Also note that upgrading your own PC that was purchased from Incredible Connection, within the warranty period, will void you warranty.
