Upgrading to AMD

Looking to upgrade my pc to AMD over the december break this is what I plan to get so far

CPU:AMD FXâ„¢ 8150 (3.6GHz, 16M Cache, 8x Cores, 4.2GHz Turbo) Eight Core CPU@R2175
Ram:12 GB 1333 DDR3 @R0 (already have)
Motherboard:MSI 970A-G46 Motherboard@R1025
Drives:SSD Adata 120 GB S510 series Sata III 2.5" SSD@R1050
HDD 1TB Seagate baraccuda 7200
Total R4250

What would you upgrade/downgrade and to what to get the best preformance

Budget=R4000-R4300
 
By the time you upgrade the Pile driver chips will have been released, in fact they'll be released in a couple of days.
So you're def better off getting one of those as early reports say Pile Driver is looking to be about 15% faster than Bulldozer.
Other than that its a solid build.

Thanks depending on the price and benchmarks of the piledriver will go for it and kudos on the PSU help got the XFX 750w

hi good specs just one thing though you can save money by having the 8120 and changing the clock speed it is the same architecture and speed and specs

also the fx "Zabezi" amd's run only dual or quad ram so 2x4gb or 4x4gb or 2x8gb and on most 990fx mainboard you can now have 4X8gb nice yummy 32gb goodness

Why would he want to get a bulldozer chip, If pile driver is only a few days away.
Also 32GB memory...way way over kill unless he is running a couple of vm's or if he wants to do a ram disk. 8GB is more than enough.
I agree with the dual channel though, a decent 8GB set will be perfect.
