VE3D Video for Duke Nukem Forever (PC) - Demo Reel

It would have ROCKED THE WORLD. It might not have had engrossing story or anything like that but it would have rocked. I hope take 2 picks up a few guys from 3d realms and get them to finish it. Or atleast release what they got and let the modders bring Duke Back.
 
I personally think, if they had to release the "unfinished prodcut" and the SDK to the public, the fans out there would complete, patch and transform the gamequicker than you can say any of his catchphrases
 
technically the game can still be saved, all that needs to happen is a company like ms (which means they get another exclusive), epic or even id can buy them out and finish the development, since the game looks like it was around 90% complete

Epic might pick it, but with take 2 owning the publishing rights it could be tricky, doesn't Epic publish their own stuff?

I am starting 2 think this title could still see the light of day. I am guessing bought the publishing rights back in 2000 somewhere and paid the pretty penny for it. The only way they get anything back is if the title launch...
 
Weasley I think i'm agreeing with you, first they had all these sneaky sneaky mini previews things, and now so close to finishing they say they are closing down?! I vote it'll be out soon.
 
damn 3DRealms cant seem to make up their minds whether or not to shutdown and not release the game or shutdown and release the game lol.... :p

See I also called stunt.

Throughout the years they were really really really stingy with details, screenshots etc. The past couple of months they released TONS of info, then suddenly "bankrupt"

Deep down inside, I am thinking its a marketing stint, creating UBER hype for the game by taking down their forums and websites etc.
 
haha yeah i agree.

maybe they'll pretend to be bankrupt for another 12 years then decide to release....
 
Take two offered this guy $30 million for the rights and he turned it down... wtf.
He's rather going to Micrsoft, EA, Epic, etc to get funding to complete the game... I doubt they'll give him funding to complete a game that could be completed for 12 years.

i hope its not as immenent as the hellgate london "stunt" that was suppose to happen before the second invasion, but at least with 3d realms one might wonder more than the shutdown of shadonai, shulgoth, forum and company.
