Video game addiction similar to heroin, smoking, alcohol and gambling addiction

Of course games are addictive.... Nothing new. Heck some of the games (I.e angry birds) are advertised as addictive. But its not even in the same category as drugs, alcohol and gambling addiction. No they are much worse.
 
Anything can be addictive these days.
Facebook, twitter, TV, eating, diets. Name an activity and I'm sure there is someone addicted to it.
