Same here. I was so excited when they first started out and look at them now. What a waste of space they are.

Me too. After all their blabbing the last few months about new products and prices they bring absolutely nothing.

And why are all the sites propagating this advertorial as gospel truth? All Vodacon did was shuffle their prices around making their larger bundles more expensive, it's called price confusion. Cell C's regular bundle pricing actually beats this. The old mybb we knew would have torn such adverts apart and not continue the lie.

And Telkom chugs along at it's ridiculous prices, so nothing changed then.
Telkom is actually an interesting case. Like the russian scientist that caught his own virus. Where else will you get 20GB for R300 all inclusive?

The problem is that the mobile landscape is changing too fast for them to keep all the customers they are luring away from their own dsl. Ironically the only ones competing are the one that tried to keep prices high and the one that was too small to do anything. Karma really is a bitch eMpTyN and Vodacon.

When the first word of the article was Neotel I had to muster up all the energy in my being to carry on paging down to the halfway mark. Then when i saw Vodacom, i had to expend another couple of kilojoules pressing page down one more time to come here to comment :p For any ADSL user on high bandwidth packages mobile broadband articles are a waste of time unfortunately. Also the article title is misleading

I use Neotel as Telkom refused to replace stolen lines in our area. At the time Neotel was the cheapest option, although the recent price drops from the cellular providers are making 3G a viable option.

Ja, biiiiiiiig disappointment from Vodacom. Please, they just upped the data amounts and increased the prices slightly accordingly? Thats hardly slashing. Look at the 'saving' column, that gives the most info. It is a pretty good saving there from 175MB to 250MB. But flip, how long does that actually last??

Neotel, sigh, just a fail - every time.

Screw that miniscule price reductions, we should plan some type of boycott, where we all collectively change ISP's every few months or something and let there precious stocks dip and see if they'll try and restrain their greedy practices. Wishful thinking, I know.

When Seacom came online we were told they were using it for redundancy. Then came the advertorials about them reducing their adsl prices due to Seacom. Since April 2007 there has been a whopping 11.77% decrease. It's clear Vodacon is just shafting everyone. The only reason they reduced the prices on their mickey mouse size bundles is because nobody was buying them any more.
