Voicy's Epic WoW starter guide

All the details you provided have been very help full, Which is the latest patch available. How many downloads.

The latest patch is 3.1.3. Not sure how many separate patches it is though. But from 2.4.3 to 3.1.3 is a couple of Gb's. Your best option is to find someone to copy the game folder from.

No apologies needed. It's not confirmed yet. It's just the ptr. Don't be surprised when it get's bigger though. I don't think the new raids are in the ptr yet.

Can't wait for the new cat form. At least I won't look like all the other druids. Now I will only look like a fifth of all the other druids :D

It would be EPIC if they introduced Druid Form armour. Can you imagine getting armour for your cat or bear etc? :P

While it would be nice, I don't think it will happen. You will have to create 4 sets of new models for all of the leather and cloth items in the game. You can't do it just for bear and cat, the moonkin and resto groups will qq all the way to hell and back. And that is excluding the 4 travel forms, which they are even less likely to do.

It is simply too much work to do for something that effects only a small portion of the players. I think they managed a good solution, but I would prefer more variety or perhaps a different method that relying on hair colour

Yeah, I'm not talking about all the armour available in the game though...only specifics and for specific forms. Travel and Aquatic form, for example, would be pointless. But perhaps a variety of special epic sets of armour for cat, bear and the big chicken of doom with space lasers.

Perhaps make a small selection of armor and let the player choose his armor from the barber shop, rather than a direct conversion from the armor the player is wearing.

To diverge a bit, what class/spec is the most fun to level, in your own opinion?

For me, a feral druid is the best. You have almost everything you need. Cat form for killing mobs, with prowling if you don't want to engage mobs. If you get in trouble, switch to bear. The only weakness is that you have to shift out to heal, making it difficult to heal while fighting.

Enhancement shaman is ok. You lack the armor from the plate classes, but with water shield and the ability to heal while fighting, you can basically keep on fighting for a while. Totems are useful, but a pain to move around, so I don't use them a lot.

Atm, I'm leveling a frost mage. Not bad overall, but there is a gap between l14 and 20 for frost spells, so I'm starting to have some trouble. Hopefully it gets better after 20. Regularly eating and drinking is a pain though. I prefer classes with little or no downtime, which is druids and shamans for me.

I tried leveling a priest, but it's just not me. Got up to l6 before I quit. Non-existant physical damage combined with low mana efficiency makes it a chore for me to level. I do respect players that have leveled priests though.

As for DK's, rogues and hunters, I find the lack of a healing ability difficult to play. The classes are overall good, but to sit down to eat in the middle of patrolling mobs is just asking for trouble. I've ha denough trouble with mobs spawning behind me. As for the non-healing classes, hunter was the best for me, since it was rare for me to engage the mob itself in melee. I rely a lot on my pet.

I'm actually playing as a priest at the moment. I'm currently at level 9 and it looks like a tough class to play.

I definitely find Druid the easiest/most fun to play due to all the forms. Very easy to adapt! Prowl comes in handy, but my favourite spell is Entangling Roots. It's awesome being able to root melee mobs and not have them come near you once. My mana lasts long enough for a recharge of Innervate too, so I rarely have to stop to drink or eat.

Voicy nice guide but u forgot one HUGE thing and this is it...

Druid and warlock is the most fun to level for me. Got a level 43 Warlock and 64 Druid atm. Started playing two weeks back again. :)

I respect the guys who leveled in Vanilla the most... and I know a few guys still playing on their Vanilla priests.

Priests get stronger with PW:Shield, and eventually (60+) a shadow priest will not run out of mana if played properly...

Hunters are really easy... Put points in Beast Mastery, get a Gorilla/Bear, get Mend Pet glyph, pewpew - No food required, with the new AOTV at 20, and how well BM pets can tank... you'll never have a problem

My priest is now at level 32 and i'm going with the holy spec. The great aspect of a priest is that a group is always looking for one.
