And in this day and age of blaming piracy for everything, they still moan when making sales?
I would never have paid R350 for batman :arkham asylum @ top CD @ centurion mall(the only place I could find it)
But I bought it for $6 on steam, and sommer Arham city for $10 as well and Fallout 3 GOTY and Fallout: New Vegas and gifted Orcs must die and got a friend to try portal(and so he bought portal 2 as well)

Without the steam sale, my game expenditure maybe would have been:R199 - Arkham City @ BTGames
 
That's also a very good point. I've often bought and gifted games to friends to make them aware of the franchise. I'm actually planning on gifting Borderlands to another friend of mine over the weekend so he can see what an awesome game it is and pre-order Borderlands 2.

Granted, usually I don't randomly gift games that are over $5, but in this case it's justified because I missed his birthday a few weeks back.
