Any recommendations please? Where can I get a cheaper original NDSi console, together with games in cheaper price? I was wondering if I should get it from eBay or not since I don't know how long will it take to get the console? I want to buy one for my brother.

Cheaper? Cheaper than where? I think you forgot to include the price you were quoted.

Be aware that when importing consoles and handheld gaming devices,
you need to ensure that you will be able to buy a power supply converter for it as not all countries use the same voltages, ampereage or even plug types that we in little old SA do.

When comparison shopping, you may find it useful to run a search on

You can pick up a black DSi here for R1 872 These are from the US.

I have the original model and hope that he will enjoy his DS
as much as I have.
 
If you are going on to eBay, I'd suggest you search for a seller called "gadgetasiacom", they have many games in their website and many stunning iPhone cases, they price is also not expensive.
