OEH OEH Okay every1, so I stumbled onto this and got so excited!
So I deiced to share my excitement here and hopefully get a few other people excited.

BLIZZARD, not some other guy, will be updating Warcraft 3 for its 15th Birthday!
So it will be revamped and able to work on all new systems!

I doubt it will be a thing that lasts, but one can only hope!

Geez, first Diablo II and now Warcraft III is Blizzard trying to tell us something?
 
I really prefer the old WC3: The Frozen Throne over Dota 2.

Might be my rose tinted glasses, but wc3 was so much more versatile and community focused compared to dota 2. Seeing that a 15 year old still does it better than a fairly recent is amazing!

Think they might have fixed the video clips. The colours bug out if you don't disable desktop composition in compatibility settings.

Yes but can you change the FX to 1080p without a hack?

Edit: Oh shit, I forgot I had Blizz Authenticator on my old phone. Now I have to log a damn ticket and wait before I can download my games again :(

Edit 2: Ooh nevermind, clever old me saved the installers on a USB for erm save keeping, yeah thats it, to keep it safe in an event like this. :)

Ok installed with patch 1.26d on Windows 10 and I see no reason for a new patch?

Even 1080p was sorted in 1.25 back in 2011

Yep that's why I'm wondering about what they actually patched. Maybe it's something to make it more battle.net friendly.
 
Patch 1.27

Specific Changes & Improvements
- Throw away that old PowerPC Mac in the closet, we’ve created a new installer to support Mac 10.10 and 10.11
- Improved compatibility with Windows 7, 8.1, and 10
- Fixed a crash caused by Chain Lightning

Known Issues
- Windows 8.1 and 10 saved games are still stored in a location that requires running as system admin
- Some graphical issues with the cinematics are still occurring
- Changes to gamma settings will not take effect in windowed mode
- Cyrillic characters are still not displaying
- Disabled ambient sound while a MIDI issue is being resolved
- Mac 10.9 and earlier are not supported
- Mac build does not support the editor

Ok nothing to see here, move along, so all they did that could affect me is some arb crash on chain lightning.....
