But they're not having the same problems that Afrihost are having at the moment? Because they are pretty dismal lately

I can't comment on Afrihost, but my Axxess seems normal lately. Local gaming ping is between 10ms - 30ms depending on location of server in SA

The new login details only came through last night. Just updated now, and speedtest looks slower....

On their facebook they promised they have some kind of new structure and system specifically for gaming. Rolled out 2 days ago and they say it will be very fast and reliable . Don't know how true though

Lol well time will tell... Cause its not just how well they perform now, but how they perform under load as well
 
Well, so far I think the new POC network that they put me on is even worse. Guess I'll leave that cancellation order standing and jump ship at the end of the month
 
So I’ve got a 150Gb account with Afrihost. Every night, without fail, my ping in CS:GO games spikes to 1000ms< between 20:30 and 21:00. I have no idea why it happens. I have Tried switching off all the other PCs but the lag will just not go away. I use a usb wifi adapter so I don’t know if that could be the cause but it’s incredibly annoying when it comes.

That whole network is completely borked... I honestly don't know how they are still operating.
 
I'm so over afrihost, the only time i can actually get online is late at night or early in the morning. I see that my internet connection drops ritualistically every morning between 9.30am and 10am. And then its on maybe 30/40% of the time throughout the day.

I worked out with my 60 + 240(?) that if i maxxed out my bandwidth (4Mb line) every night for 6 hours max, i'd JUST reach my 240 cap :p

So yea, i only need to manage the 60 and keep the streaming sligthly down :)

Moved from Afrihost in november last year and havent looked back once. How the mighty have fallen indeed.//
 
This is their latest update on the ADSL network performance-
"UPDATE
09 July 2015
Our network team has improved network performance during peak periods through changes to our network management devices.
In the next few days we will be adding additional capacity to improve our ADSL service. In the weeks that follow we will be making further improvements to our network to ensure optimal service to all clients."

I don't know whether to ditch them now or to hang on for their "improvements". What do you guys think ? Keep in mind this was posted 9th July and nothings changed? Just a last ditch meaningless promise?
