Easiest way it to just ask here or at MyBB. *Someone* will already have dealt with them.

The internet has a reputation for playing host to con-artists and scam websites, so much so that even legitimate MyBroadband and MyGaming give-aways raise the suspicions of the online community.

That was kinda MyBB's fault imo. The message I got came from an account with zero posts & a name I've never seen before...plus its requesting personal info. Of course people are going to think scam.

Not always true. I work in Ecommerce, particular researching potential retailer to approach and I can guarantee you I've come across etailer sites which very few people have heard of let alone shop at & not in some niche market like dog cloths but games, clothing etc. 90% of the time a quick google of the name should yield enough info to know if the site is legit or BS though.
