I miss the old days where games come out and the only patches were new expansions/DLCs free of charge and we didn't ever need to worry about bugs.
 
After fighting with Uplay for awhile I also managed to get some gametime in tonight, though it was certainly not bug-free. Here's hoping my saves don't get overridden by whatever is in my Uplay Cloud storage when I actually get to connect to it again.

Eventually I quit, not only because I need to grab some shut-eye but because the game started freezing occasionally, rendering it pretty much unplayable.

Before that I ran into a bug where it wasn't letting me hack an object even though I had hacked the terminal that enabled it.

My setup: Intel Core i7-4770K on an Intel DZ87KLT-75K mobo, 8GB RAM, Club 3D Radeon HD5870 OC Edition (Catalyst 14.4 drivers, will try the 14.6 beta drivers tomorrow). Windows 8.1 Pro (64-bit) installed on a GPT-formatted drive, booting via UEFI. The game is installed to a non-primary mechanical hard disk (in case that becomes relevant for whatever reason) and running on medium settings at my native resolution (1920x1200).
 
Ike how insane is that face mask i use it on my bike now and it works wonders :D. And i went to bed last night and up until then i had not one issue with Watchdogs. Can't believe you guys have such bad luck with this game atm.

Yep, that's been my experience as well - except for the occasional frame rate drop that lasts only a fraction of a second. They probably should have done a larger beta program to pick these issues up.

I never got a chance to play last night, install was slow on my side. I did however enjoy picking up pizza dressed as Aiden
 
Well found my 1st game breaking bug, 1 of the missions a car breaks through a barrier in the cut scene, at that exact moment the game crashed and would not launch until I restarted my whole pc...lol Ubisoft really are fucking useless at making PC games...oh wait I should say they are fucking useless at porting games to PC.

hold on a sec, I thought that the PC version was the definitive version?
Now it seems, reading through all of the problems, that to get the best experience is to get it on PS4.

Sounds like you are getting the game that you expected and I am getting the game that I expected.

Some people have a ton of issues, some have some issues others have no issues. I'm in the latter group.

Correct, I played it on the PS4 and it played fine, played it on pc and its a dog

Mate you know as well as I do that the game suffers from poor optimization, If you claim you don't suffer from the stuttering issue then your bending the truth because everyone and I mean everyone has that issue. Whether you have a top of the line rig or a mid range rig it stutters. Then there is the fact that people can't even get the game to launch, Also not a small group..I am a member of many forums..I think I'll link some posts and threads for you to read so you can see what I mean.

1 Example

Im pretty much done trying to get this working, I have spent more time trying and tried most of the options out there (Except the one i heard which is to try an illegal copy) To go through it all again:

-Turned off SLI
-Dropped to High
-Dropped to Medium
-Dropped to 1080p
-Tried borderless window
-Tried -disablepagecheck
-Turned off Motion Blur
-Turned off Depth of Field
-Various combinations of the above

None of it corrected the stuttering, Its as smooth as getting dragged behind a bus down a pothole-lined road and the driving segments are unplayable on the "best" combo of settings i found (SLI Off, High, No MB or DoF, 2560x1440)

The issues have killed my desire to play this game, and this game was at the top of my list to play when I saw it. Im so done with it.

Will just keep watching the threads and hoping for a patch :/

Yes, I think about everyone on this forum. Everyone's been complaining about it on the internet as well as on here.

Basically, there's a lucky few of us, like myself, that activated my game yesterday before the uPlay servers went down. So I could luckily still play on offline mode. But the rest are not as fortunate :(

One relatively small issue (the stuttering) that isn't game breaking does not make them the worst company in the world, nor does it make Watch Dogs the worst game in the world. Everything that comes out has issues, and those issues will be addressed. If it's really annoying you so much at the moment put the game on the back-burner and come back to it in a few months. Or just rage for the sake of raging. Whatever.

Atleast on my side the stuttering only occurs every now and again and it's only for a fraction of a second. The worst effect is usually that I scrape against a car that I would normally have missed.

I would hardly call having an awesome time in a game that I bought for R225 being shafted. But whatever floats your boat. I don't need to read about other people's issues and their rage to try and justify my own hatred for the company and the game.
 
Well in all honesty i have not experienced anything i might just be lucky (touch wood) don't no one jinx my game now please
