Watch Dogs PC launch bugs and glitches

I'm disk-swapping to install a game. It feels like the 90s, man.

For full nostalgia all that's needed now is to have to optimise my extended and high memory with QEMM to get the game to launch, with maybe some disk-swapping to load certain levels, play certain factions, or fire up the multiplayer.

It looks like the pc based game of Watch Dogs is giving guys a hard time, don`t know why they insted buy a console it`s much better, good graphics and a once off payment that will last years on. But taste is defferant hey

Taste is definitely "defferant". I would it's because I don't feel like spending all that $ on a TV, a console and a sound system so I can play one game on a console after I spent to much time, effort and money on my PC. :D

The fact that it "works" on console (it's reportedly got enough bugs to make the console experience annoying) is beside the point.

Why are they shipping a broken product? I'd be happier if they didn't release games for PC at all, then I can just ignore their junk and stick with developers who treat their customers with respect.

Isn't that like the norm these days? I've given up buying any new releases and now wait patiently for that price drop and the 600 gigs of updates. Buying new games is just far too risky.

Ha I knew it! I knew this would happen, every single new AAA game is in need of patching these days. For this reason I don't pre order, pay a premium for a broken product then wait for patches to be released? No. Rather bide my time with other games and wait for the price to drop and all the kinks to get ironed out.

It's like the public are the beta testers these days I guess.

I insist on PC because of shorter load times.

You know, this makes me hate consoles even more now. That it has come to the point where people are saying "Just get a console. If you can't beat them join them." No, that's bullshit.

I can't even download / install my game yet via UPlay. Luckily I didn't pay for the game plus I've got other things to keep me occupied this weekend, so I'm not too stressed.
I really do think though that they should just give up UPlay and convert everything to Steam.

It seems like "beware, early adopters" is no longer a warning just for the guys that buy hardware on release. This trend may just make me change my mind about early access. At least the games that went through that process should be pretty much free of serious bugs.

I know a friend that spent a well over 30k for a pc? for that kind of money you can buy a tv,console and a good sound system

No thanks dude, because I probably spent well over that same amount for mine over the years, so why spend double the amount now? Plus I have no intention of ever swapping my keyboard and my mouse for a clumsy controller. :D

You can call me a PC master racist if it would please you, but I will always prefer my PC to a console.

Yip. There is literally only one reason left to play on day 1...full MP servers.

In all other respects waiting until it goes gold is better imo.

Funny that the pirated version of the game works well...

Maybe game developers should start hiring the scene developers, who do a better job of releasing their game than they do?
