Watch Dogs - Title changing?

On February 1, something known as an "express abandonment" was filed by Ubisoft leading people to believe that the game may be getting a new title. However it would appear as though this was not actually filed by Ubisoft, via CVG:
As reported earlier, the Watch Dogs trademark listing was updated today to reveal that Ubisoft has filed an "express abandonment" on February 1, sparking speculation that the game was being given a new title.
But the firm has told CVG it is taking steps to reinstate its holding of the trademark after it was abandoned 'fraudulently'.

"We are working directly with the USPTO on reinstating the trademark for Watch Dogs and it will be active again in the coming days," a spokesperson told us. "The matter has no impact on the Watch Dogs' development," they added.

With no specific release date set yet for Watch Dogs (or maybe Grand Theft Hacker in the end lol) we still might have some more waiting to do. Could this be the first bit of news that starts getting it into everyone's heads again? Interestingly (you can read the full article over here if you like):
Can you drive and hack at the same time? You might have to.
he addition of a slow-time "focus" mechanic -- which Morin freely admits is inspired by "Bullet Time" -- was added as a means of allowing players time to think about what they wanted to do, as well as the ability to do multiple things at once -- things like hacking while driving at high speed, or while engaged in a chase. It's not all frantic multitasking, though; Morin also notes that it's possible to stand still for 20 minutes and still make progress in the game through observing the people around you, profiling them, finding someone worth tailing and then watching events proceed from there. These "escalations," as Morin calls them, are largely unscripted, encouraging players to improvise with the game world and its mechanics, and rewarding creative play.

The tsunami of trailers for the game looks great, (I've stopped watching, feels like they are giving away too much.) hope they release it soon...and dont mess it up.

Such a long delay for this release...

Aye. I wish they'd just give us a release date already (and then some reviews that are good so that I can place an order). To be honest if they release a GTA V PC version at the same time (at this point) I think they'll lose out.

The fact that they're delaying it, probably means they believe they can make it better. Games being delayed is a good thing most of the time, it's only extreme cases that are really bad (DNF, Diakatana etc.)

It's good if they're being delayed to be worked on, I think DNF was just left somewhere for a decade before someone dusted it off :p Just really hoping Valve knows what they're doing with Half Life...

Good day.

Do you have any copies of 'Express Abandonment'?

Yeah...

That sounds like the title of a futuristic 'Fallout' movie.

delays are fine, but if they do release it eventually and it's still full of bugs, then you can start rioting

Question time
Battlefield 4 bugs or a delay, which would you choose.

Personally I feel a delay is better if it leads to a better release copy of the game

Yeah I think I'd rather wait for a decent copy of the game that doesn't need to be patched day one.

Should we be concerned that they're doing more than just polishing though? I hope not - guess we'll find out when it releases and requires an always-online connection and a monthly sub.
