Who has seen it?

I saw it yesterday and was thoroughly impressed.

It was very long, but it worked. There were about 6 separate goose bump moments, amazing sound track and awesome characters and casting.

I could have done with elss of the gore and sex, personally I see these as a lazy way of making your movie adult. Dark Knight for example was appealed to adults without swearing, gore or sex just because it was so clever. Watchmen could have done this to but resorted to crasser methods. Just my opinion.

Still, thoroughly enjoyed it, especially the first 2 hours. Thought the last 45mins or so could have been better.

Firstly, I'm glad that someone has seen it and passed a good comment on it and secondly, I'm actually glad to hear there is some 'adult' in it ..... I'm so tired of these mainstream, superhero flicks aimed at garnering more of a family audience. Being a superhero must be a gritty existence and in a gritty existence, you swear, end of story

He means the visual style of SinCity you noob Watchmen is normal visuals, The Spirit uses that same black/white/grey/blotches of colour thing.

I've decided to go see the 8:30pm viewing tonight! (even if i'm going by myself)

I normally don't listen to critics, and quite a few of my friends didn't enjoy it ... but our beloved IMDB gives it an 8.4/10!

Watched it yesterday, I liked it quite a bit, though it is a tad long. Nice take on the superhero genre.

Well, Watchmen is not your usual comic, so the Watchmen movie shouldn't be the same as any other comic made into a movie.

It is a dark comic which was written in a way completely different from the usual comics, like Superman, Batman, etc. showing superheroes are 'human' too and they do have dark sides.

In fact, only one guy is a true superhero (Dr Manhattan), the rest are all pretty much human with human faults and personality traits.

I am going to watch it tomorrow and I am looking forward to it.

LOL... John was played by Billy Crudup. I thought he did it very well.

Anyway, here's my take after seeing the Watchmen movie...

It is thoroughly enjoyable. It stayed very true to the original story of the comic series. Just some slight changes here and there, but I am not spoiling it for others that haven't seen it.

I was waiting for the 'last 40min drags' I have heard people mention, but it never arrived for me and then the movie ended.

Also, not that much sex in the movie, it is especially not very raunchy and it is only really the one scene. Nice lady
Something I will say - it has gore, making it very visceral. The one scene specifically might actually make you want to look away.

All in all, I highly recommended this movie, especially for those that read the comic.
It contains great cinematography, music and the scenes are epic.

I like it when a movie's ending catches me off-guard and this one did just that.
