STEAM content Server coming!
A steam content server is in the process of being setup and will be the 2nd service offering to be included in the FreeZone.

Steam is a digital distribution, digital rights management, multiplayer and communications platform developed by Valve Corporation. It is used to distribute a large number of games and related media entirely over the Internet. There are approximately 788 software titles available for which Steam allows users to purchase any of these games entirely digitally. Instead of receiving a box, disc, or even CD key, purchased software is immediately attached to the user’s Steam account.

Web Africa ADSL subscribers will be able to download content, such as full games, from the Web Africa hosted Steam server without utilizing any bandwidth from their accounts!

That's pretty damn cool. This will make Steam game downloads much more feesable. Kudos to Webafrica.
 
Now THAT is very, very good.

Steam just became a whole lot more feasible for us local mense.
 
I'll be testing that out off the bat myself. I have a huge Steam list that always needs a little more love and more games downloaded.

mmmm, definitely will be buying all my games from steam now. Web africa is proving to be the most innovative ISP to date, at least in gaming circles...
 
I like companies like WebAfrica. Companies that actually listen to their customers. We asked for free Steam downloads and I really did not think that it would actually happen.

They've got my respect.
 
I wanna know which packages offer this though. Is it prepaid, is it the month to month packages etc.
Other than that, that is freaking amazing news. Cheap games + free download = Best news ever. thanks WA!
 
To the best of my knowledge, FreeZone may be enjoyed by anyone who buys bandwidth which uses Web Africa's new network.
This does not apply to those buying IS local bandwidth through WA.
