You only got to have your line with them not ISP.
Oh ok, that is very cool then

Have the same kind of request. going to be moving soon and want a really powerful line that can handle bandwidth for 3/4 pc's and a couple of Wi-fi devices. For some crazy reason though everyone seems to say that 8ta 3G is the best in terms of speed but that would be a massive pain in terms of cap etc.
If you have the budget and the right geographical area, VDSL 20mb should do, it's not that pricey, line + uncapped around R1400
That is quite pricey but I would love to get my parents to cancel Dstv and go for an awesome inline. *sigh* Pipedreams , but hope springs eternal
Personally I find Telkom Uncapped quite good and cheap at R699 which includes line rental and the account.
Since you will be using Telkom you can get 25% discount off your 4 meg line rental every month so you will only pay like R500+-
Also if you have no router currently they give you a free one and I would choose the Netgear DGN2200.
Are you with them, if so how are the speeds? Can you link the deal page...I can't find it. I am with Mweb and the speeds are terrible. For the past few days I have been getting 0.3MB/s WTF? (I have a 4MB line)
Currently I am with Afrihost, been really happy with them, their service is great and I average around 175GB per month on a 1 mb line. However for the past 2 weeks they have been shaping my account, as well as some of my friends' accounts, probably due to IPC issues and mweb people jumping ship to Afrihost.
If you were willing to spend the money for a 4 meg uncapped line though maybe you should go for a 2 meg business uncapped, which is guaranteed to have no shaping ever. Also I hear the line speeds are due to increase within the next few months so the 2 meg should go up to 4 by Feb/March.
Line speeds are being upgraded next month as far as I know.Currently I am with Afrihost, been really happy with them, their service is great and I average around 175GB per month on a 1 mb line. I was looking at doing 4 meg line through Telkom, Yay or Nay?
nah its going to be phased. The majority of people are likely looking at 3 months+.Line speeds are being upgraded next month as far as I know.
