What are you currently looking forward to in gaming?

There's a GIF for that
What upcoming game or gaming devices/technology are you currently looking forward to or excited about?

Anything within the next year to two years is fine, but it has to be something you are truly excited about.

For me it's currently the VR devices we are about to get in the next couple of months, especially the HTC Vive, which is sounding very promising.

As for games, I'm really looking forward to Just Cause 3. The second one was just amazing and this one looks like it could be massive amounts of fun.

For me it's most definitely the VR devices of which I'll go with the one with the best reviews. I would also like to try out one myself before actually purchasing one. It sounds amazing though. I'm also keen for the Hololens. Though more to develop for it than to actually play games on it.

Games wise I look forward to Mass Effect 4, No Man's Sky and should Silent Hills still happen then that.

i'll just leave this here

Can't really think of anything technology wise that I'm excited about, but here are some games:

Witcher 3 expansions
Cyberpunk 2077
For Honor
Fallout 4
Just Cause 3

What is for honor? first time I hear about it.

I'm still quietly excited for the (eventual) release of Star Citizen. I really hope the pull off everything they are promising.

VR is definitely something to look forward to, but judging by the demos it does not look that great,, just yet!

If there will be a 2nd and 3rd generation VR headset, then that would be something to look properly forward to, referring to higher res

It's like a medieval combat game. Almost like Chivalry Medieval Warfare, but a bit different. It's a new IP from Ubisoft. The basic concept is Vikings vs Knights vs Samurai. So far they have only shown the MP but the game will have a SP campaign as well. Can't post videos now since I'm on Tapatalk, but there is an awesome CG trailer as well as gameplay walkthrough which you can easily find on youtube.

As much as I am looking forward to the VR era - the HTC Vive looks amazing, but in the same hand so does the Hololens.

Personally I'm not buying into the whole VR experience, though I am sure it will be great and ground breaking, I still believe it to be a gimmick. But from a technological stand point, I think it will shape the way for the next big thing, or the next big adaptation on VR. It will set a precedence and a stepping stone to work on for the next iteration.

Im looking forward to the steady price reductions of PS3 and xbox360 games. I missed out on a lot due to financial constraints.

oh ya and Fallout 4, Just Cause 3, Cyberpunk........the usual stuff that I'll probably be unable to play due to financial contraints.

did I mention I have financial constraints? lol

If you save 50c from now till release date you can buy fallout 4 I read somewhere. So each day put 50c in a jar when you wake up.

As others have said, I'm looking forward to VR. I really hope it turns out to be more than a gimmick, and we get some incredible gaming experiences out of them, but so far I'm not quite convinced.

As for games, the only ones I'm super hyped for that are still releasing this year are Until Dawn & MGS V: The Phantom Pain. The rest of the goodness will be in 2016.

I know some of these have been mentioned but here is my list in descending order of how much I am looking forward to it:

Starcraft II: Legacy of the Void - Oh dear God I can't tell you I excited I am for this
Witcher III expansions - Even though I still have to finish the campaign, this game is so good, more of it can only be even better
Cyberpunk 2077 - A Cyberpunk RPG from the guys wot brung you Witcher III? Where do I sign?
XCOM 2 - More XCOM strategic goodness *drools*
Another Diablo 3 expansion - I'm not sure when this will come out, but it's inevitable - inevitably awesome!
The day that I can justify to myself and my wife that I should by a PS4 - because Bloodborne.
