Finally playing the FNV dlc - Honest Hearts. At this point I am actually quite pissed off with Besethda and the coding, I know they are tons of bugs, but up until this point it never really bothered me.
In order for me to play this dlc I had to go through the following:
- My last end game in Legate camp had a bug where I couldn't kill the last dude to finish the game.
- I ended up making a new character a while back which overwrote alot of older saves (this was before I bought dlc), there is no naming or proper saving convention which only now really hacked me off.
- I went back to my original character and my last save is in that same legate camp, I gave it a shot and killed the end dude one time so they must of fixed a bug with this, so yaah I finally got to finish the game.
- But of course you can't go back to the map once you finish the game, which I knew, but I wanted that bit out of the way. I went back to previous saves, but my new character had overwrote a lot of previous saves so it was difficult finding the right spot to get to the dlc area.
- after finally getting to a point where I could get to the DLC area - Happy trails I realised I couldn't join because of another bug where my e.d.e companion was missing. I lost him ages ago when first placed with the original character. At this point I started shaking the monitor and had a mini hissy fit.
- I went on a hunt to find him, and eventually found him at Vault 22 where I originally lost him, but at that time, he was not there because of a glitch, so they must have patched that bug and now he is free. But anyway a option here would have been when you want to go on the dlc happy trails mission, "I'm ready, let's go" and they dismiss companions automatically. Really how hard could that have been!
What really would have been nice if after end game, they made it that you could access the dlc areas directly, without going back into the world so it won't affect any final outcomes of the story and it dismisses any companions for you.
anyways I'm bored and felt like griping about these minor annoyances. Finally playing the dlc now and seems pretty fun, didn't get far though cause was still put off from the schlepp of joining in first place.
