Blame InSanity :p, he had the copy right there, and I thought, "Hmmm, might as well see what all the fuss is about"

Which ones would you recommend?

The older ones, but you'd need a PS3, PSP or Vita to dl them from PSN and play them. So basically Final Fantasy VII all the way to XII, VIII being my favourite one since it was my very first FF game :).

My bro bought me Fifa 13 because he is visiting - enjoying that at the moment, he is too good though, keeps on beating me :/

How are the combat systems compared to XIII ('cause I honestly hate that system:()?

7 is the most famous one because of the story, 8 is good with 9 being my favourite (my game) 8 was a buddy's one :D

Didn't have a PS2 but played a bit with the one where you got to Bujerba (not sure which one it was - you used spheres to upgrade) and that was very fun, didn't complete it though :/

Would love to give the ones on the 360 a try - provided it isn't 11 - only 2 people have got 100% completion on it as it requires you to reach lvl 75 with every character type :o

All of them are based on the Active Time Battle system, it's basically like FFXIII but you don't move about and you have full control over everyone's abilities.

XII was very different in that it played more like an MMO, so combat was real time and you could manually move around while fighting. It relied heavily on setup up parameters for each of the three characters so that they would react based on certain conditions. For example if HP is less than 50% then cast Cure. Later you could set it up so well that you could basically walk away and let the AI do the fight without any intervention from you.

Good times. :)

XIII is the only FF game I played that I still haven't finished. I know I'm very close to the end, but I need to motivate myself to play it again.

oh yeah, I tried to play a bit of ghost Recon: Future soldier as well. AWESOME game, but it breaks my pc for some reason which makes it hard to finish a mission
