What are your gaming morals?

Games allow us to break free from reality, including all its expectations and even moral demands (I certainly hope no one here goes on shooting rampages daily). The funny thing is, certain games (especially RPG's) try very hard to bring the question of morality back into games and so you find yourself trying to make "moral" choices, or do you?

When faced with "moral" choices in games do you tend to stick to your real-life values or do unleash your inner anarchist since it's a game after all?

I tend to "do the right thing" in games even when it involves a degree of sacrifice, but every now and then I deliberately (because it's a game) go for an act of evil: e.g. I stood on the balcony of Tenpenny Tower and detonated Megaton just to enjoy the explosion... muahaha

It depends on the game, but most of the time I try to make the "good" choices, if possible, and I try to be nice to everyone, unlike in real life. "whistling:

I typically do what feels right. Only now and again do I become a bit of a sadist, but my conscience gets to me, even though it's just a videogame. I think my mind perceives it as: "Just the mere fact that you thought of doing it and then proceeded to actually do it -- says a lot." I guess this is where morbid curiosity comes into play.

I'm almost always lawful good. Just like in real life. Eh, I just can't get myself to be evil in games. So yes, I'm nice in games. :)

One of the things I really liked about The Walking Dead was that it wasn't always clear what the "right" choice was, and I certainly made a good few decisions that I regretted either immediately or later on. The game also revealed quite a bit of my personality as I'm very much a negotiator, trying to keep all parties concerned happy - the problem is that sometimes hinders your ability to be assertive and make quick decisions when needed (hence Kenny took charge in those situations)

I generally go the evil route... possible sign of problems... naahhh"whistling::D Just have a dark sense of humor, so i find things people cringe from funny... unless it involves animals:p

Play infamous and infamous 2, being bad just looks way cooler.
When it comes to online shooters....always come with a big plate of chaos its all about the KD ratio

I don't believe I've played enough games with actual CHOICE between good and evil. It's always been a "which option will give me the better loot/outcome". And that always seems to be the "going-out-of-your-way" good. :p

Summed up quite nicely here:

It depends on my mood but normally I take the high Road. However saying that, if I'm given the option to destroy a boat of civilians or a boat of criminals, I'm killing the criminals. Ain't nobody got time to save two boats.
