What do you do for a living?

I'm an IT Manager for an Auditing Firm... :rolleyes: and here I'm working for auditors, who would have thought that day would happen.

Dude the one way I can tell you on how to avoid paying Tax might get me in shit, but hell this govt doesn't do anything for me anyway.

Just have your company pay you the basic salary of I think R5000 then pay the rest into your account and have them write it off as a cash payment in their books. :rolleyes:

You still pay tax but not as high as you should be and you're not evading technically speaking. :p

That's when you have them leave you a voicemail or email and attend to it when you can :p. I used to get that a lot when I was working on BDSL Linux boxes all the time, eventually when it came to the end of the day I diverted all calls to my voicemail and just kept my emails running :D

Ja but if they catch you doing that you will not just be facing a penalty or a fine... you would be looking at some jail time im sure

Then I break SLA, and we do not get paid and I get in trouble.... :D

Pffft that's IF they catch you... I've seen a couple people doing it. :p I don't know how they can trace you when you receiving a cash payment from the company which could be seen as you doing private sales or something :D

Actually yes you are evading tax & if SARS catching you they'll burn you alive.

Oh you'd be surprised what SARS can trace. And this btw is one of the things they can detect. Generally any scheme a non-finance person can come up with SARS has already seen a hundred times & knows how to catch it.

I suggest fixing it asap - evasion penalties are 200% on top of evaded amount....or jailtime.
