What do you wear to work?

Well before i moved positions i always used to wear mi nike or puma tracksuits. Or jeans cos if riding bike. And mostly billabong fox or bad oy shirts. Now i mostly wear jeans and the shirts and always one of my sets of nike sneakers. Hate button shirts and actually only own 2 :p.

Chinos, button shirt, safety shoes. Jeans and branded company shirt if I go to a mine.

flipflops, shorts and a tshirt. in the summer anyway. in the winter, whatever keeps me warm.

film industry ftw :D

I wear a black suit that accentuates my muscle, it has a cape attached to the back.
I also have to wear a funny looking hat that covers the top half of my face and has 2 pointy parts protruding upwards on each side.

Yup, that's about it!

we have "strict" dress code to wear formal clothes, tshirts are not allowed unless you wear a fitted jacket. No tekkies except on tekke tax day and we can wear Jeans on fridays.

i have however found that the strictness at work only relates to t-shirts which the bosses wife doesnt like the girls wearing. our office is made up entirely of girls(the big boss is the only dude at the firm)

Black jeans, black long sleeve button up shirt, I don't see why we have to be semi formal since I sit behind a desk all day and interact via email and phone calls but hey whatever.

Corporate wear is an interesting thing, while people do perceive you differently by what you wear in business I feel this should shift, just because you look the part does not mean you can do jack shit, and people will be more productive if they are allowed to be comfortable and themselves, I wish I could grow my hair long again and paint my nails but people would freak out and it does make me slightly disgruntled to be honest that I cant express myself

We are allowed to wear jeans, but needs to be a formal shirt and no tekkies ,except on fridays. (he posts while wearing tekkies - oops). I'm hidden in IT and no clients see me, so not entirely sure what the problem is, but they do pay my salary, so I need to listen to the rules I guess.

Apart from the effect it has on the people you interact with it also has an effect on how you shut down after work. Taking off the more formal work attire for more casual home clothes creates a more relaxed individual at home.

My company is a Jeans and T-Shirt company in general but I prefer something a little more formal. A client can walk in at any time and I will be properly dressed for a meeting. This also has the added benefit of people who don't work with you often assume you are competent and tend to listen when you talk where the Jeans and T-shirt guys need to be a little more convincing...
Not sure I'd wear a suit if the rest of the crowd isn't though to be honest...can backfire quite fiercely in that people perceive it as snobbish.

This took some getting used to Europe side...holy hell people judge you harshly for wearing tekkies for anything other than jogging.

Saffer in me didn't think twice about them...and promptly got kicked out of a few places.

I hardly ever wear a full suit but a nice button shirt, some formal pants (jeans are informal) and a proper pair of shoes goes a long way.
