What if Tomb Raider was a First Person game?

Not into FPS anymore so it would not appeal to me anymore if it got changed to one so it would be off my shopping list after that :p.

Tomb Raider 3rd person: staring a Lara's ass for 3 hours

Tomb Raider FPS: staring at rocks for 3 hours

I know which one I would choose

Please clarify, did you mean rocks or boulders? :p Then again the prospect of staring down at Lara's cleavage still doesn't compare to being able to see her entire body in her normal 3rd person view.

I know this sounds stupid, but what if they used the occulas rift and something like the kinect to play this in a open area. That would be cool, maybe but not for people that are not active.

I don't have a problem being active as it would actually be cool to be immersed in a world like Tomb Raider, the problem is how inaccurate the Kinect is.

Third Person games also play off how well the character animations make the player look badass/sexy. This works too well in games where the player does more than simply move in 6 directions. Think of Prototype or Assassin's Creed for example.

Don't forget Dead Space! I love that series and while I was sceptical at first about the third person camera angle I don't think it would've been nearly as effective if the game were a FPS.

They should do what they did in Spec Ops The Line and other games, have both views. The first person cover system won't work because Lara hardly uses a cover method every time, but the ability to switch to first to third whenever you want would be great and everyone will be satisfied :)
