So its just another post apocalyptic survival tale only intresting part is that Naughty Dog is making it. Consider me a little disappointed.
I liked what I saw in the trailer, just need to see some actual gameplay before I get too excited. But this does have a kind of 'Enslaved: Odyssey to the West' vibe to it and I loved that game.
Say what? How the fuck does this disappoint you? Naughty dog, PS3 exclusive, some form of Zombies. Consider it sold. We know nothing about the game yet so how can you be disappointed? Yes the zombie thing is being done to death, but this is at least a new spin on it (fungus). Also, it's fucking Naughty Dog. Have they ever made a disappointing game? HELL NO.

I was slightly under whelmed by the original Uncharted & Uncharted 2, while I enjoyed it, isn't one of my all time favorite. But that is just me.
The Zombie really puts me off. Yes its naughty dog and that counts for something (though it should be said I am not a HUGE Uncharted fan, dont get me wrong is a good game but its linear nature just doesn't get my juices flowing) just wish it wasn't just another spin on the tired old Zombie Apocalypse. This looks like an I am Legend meets the Happening. Its still early days but I can honestly say that as it stands now I am not super excited about this. If they manage to put an interesting spin on this, maybe move away from the confines of Uncharted then I'll pay it closer attention.
Damn straight it's just you.
J/k. To each his own buddy, but don't be disappointed by something you know practically nothing about.

I'll rephrase then, I'm disappointed that it has zombies.

But why? Zombies are teh awesomeness!!!
I get that, everybody is doing something with zombies these days, but since Twilight fucked up Vampires forever I had to choose a new "supernatural obssesion" and Zombies won.I'll play almost anything with Zombies.

Thats exactly the problem. Everybody is doing it and its old. Yes twatlight fucked up Vampires for a very long time to come but this over saturation of the Zombie-apocalypse or some other permutation of the Zombie formula is killing the zombie genre. The same way a yearly release of Cod is slowly killing the Military shooter genre. Its the over all lack of imagination, come up with something new ffs instead of just trying to put a new spin on tired old genres.
But this is me we are talking about and my likes, dislikes and couldn't give a fuck abouts are pretty unique. The Legion wants Zombies, they will get Zombies.

Very few details of The Last Of Us, the new Naughty Dog game revealed at the VGA’s over the weekend, have yet emerged. What we did seem to know is that it’s a game with zombies in it – certainly the trailer showed them hunting the game’s pair of lead characters. Yet the developer insists that The Last Of Us is not a zombie game. It’s not even a horror game, they say.
“It's not a zombie game,†said game director Bruce Straley.
“If the game was about the monsters, we would have not showed them [in the trailer],†added creative director Neil Druckmann. â€The story’s not about them, so [we thought] let’s get it out of the way.â€
Insisting that “we’re not going for horror,†Druckmann said the game is instead a sort of love story – “not a romantic love story,†but “a love story about a father-daughter-like relationship.â€
And speaking in a lengthy feature on Eurogamer, Druckmann admitted that the now-infamous Dead Island trailer had the team at Naughty Dog a little worried. “We saw it and we thought, wait a minute, someone else is doing this – it’s really moving, there’s this family that’s been torn apart.†It’s probably safe to assume that ND were pleased with the action-centric direction Dead Island ultimately took.
