"Colossal Cave Adventure"

And yes I'm a little bit of my age away, plus it came on one of these disk.jpg which I used on one of these

We had this, but because it was coded the "old fashioned" way, it ran WAY too quick for our awesome 486 :P

That is why there was an app called Mo'slo. There was another util that did a similar job that came with full Norton PC-Utils, forgot the exe's name.

Yes people once there was a time when Norton was found on every PC, not because of bloat but because it actually worked and people wanted it.

Was it not called MIPS?

I was attacked by a dog in 1998, and had to lay in bed for a week or so with the leg elevated. My mate at the time had an old lappy with good old doom! First proper game I remember playing. Besides of course the whole contra, pacman, bla bla.

I am not 100% certain it was the first game I ever played but it is the first I can recall - Prince of Persia, on my friends PC. We must have been 8 or 9 at the time.

My first game was on my friends pc. I was 8 or 9. Leisure Suite Larry, the first one. Nice friends I have.

My first computer game I played was Sopwith, this was on the computers at school. On my first home computer the first game I played was Commander Keen 1: Marooned on mars.

My first ever PC game I played was Age of Empires 2.

I actually recently found AoE Online but don't have much time for it.

The very first game, was in primary school actually. one where your input would be R1, or L2 and the thing would move. Then you had to make shapes and what not.

Pretty sure my first pc game was Spear of Destiny and Prehistorik 2 on my Aunt's work computer. And we were only allowed to play for half an hour before being chased out of the house and told to go play outside.

The first game I ever played on my own pc was Doom.

The earliest game I remember is Castle Adventure. Good times. I think I wasted my childhood on Prince of Persia and Hot Rod.

I've used mo'slo, and I have dosbox on my machine now. Was mo'slo around in the early 90's in the days of the 486? I thought it was a more recent program...

I know there where loads of apps that did this before mo'slo. Can not 100% say it was available in the early 486 era I know it was when I got my 1st Pentium.

286/386/486 also had a turbo button that helped slow the PC as well, not so much when Pentiums hit the scene.
