List em here so we can all marvel at how much garbage truly exists out there and how many manage to actually keep your attention :)

My list:

Aion
Anarchy Online
Audition Online
The Chronicles of Spellborn
City of Heroes/Villains
Dungeon Runners
Entropia Universe
Eternal Lands
Everquest
Everquest II
Eve Online
Flyff
Guild Wars
HabboHotel
Last Chaos
The Lord of the Rings Online
Mu Online
Perfect World
Puzzle Pirates
Rappelz
RF Online
Runescape
Runes of Magic
Saga
The Saga of Ryzom
Second Life
Tabula Rasa
There
Tibia
Tibia ME
Trickster Revolution
Upshift StrikeRacer
Vanguard: Saga of Heroes
Warhammer Online
World of Warcraft

---

How truly depressing. The only two that have managed to keep my attention are Guild Wars and World of Warcraft. The rest...eish. Entropia Universe kept me entertained for many hours years back, but having to deposit real money attached to our exchange rate with the $ really kills the wallet!

At first I thought I haven't tried so many but just looking at your list made me realise that I did a few :

Anarchy Online (ok I guess graphics tend to be not so good these days - probably won't play it again, bit boring)

Dungeon Runners (was fun for a while but I won't pay for it - would play it again)

Guild Wars (pretty interesting, nice graphics, heroes - still playing it but is my 2nd choice)

HabboHotel (Tried for all of 15 minutes)

The Lord of the Rings Online (My MMO of choice, pretty awesome but also has grind factor but not as bad as WoW - lifetime sub helps)

Puzzle Pirates (Very fun and addictive - won't mind playing it again)

Runescape (Played it all of 20 minutes)

Rappelz (Not too bad but couldn't get into it and server connection problems didn't help)

Runes of Magic (Played till level 10 - pretty good would play it again if my attention wasn't on other stuff)

Second Life (Created char, floated around discovered lag - lots of it - as it downloads the world as you go around... disconnected)

World of Warcraft (Very nice MMO but the grind brought me to tears - I swear if I see another hyena again... not very solo friendly)

Age of Conan (Was so looking forward to this, I dunno didn't feel like Conan's world to me - played it for one month only)

Ultima Online (Looked like fun but has a steep learning curve and everybody else seems to know what to do - not newbie friendly. Might one day look at it again.)

Dungeons and Dragons Online (When I joined it was group only so didn't play to long but some of the quests was pretty cool - apparently they have made it newbie and solo friendly now, I would definitely play it again. But I'll stick to Lotro for now)

Maple Story (Seems ok but didn't hold my interest)

Rose Online (Trying it out now)

Aardwolf MUD (Used to play this along time ago, was lots of fun but suffered from the same problem as Ultima Online)

Guild Wars
World of Warcraft
Age of Conan
Warhammer Online
Lord of the Rings Online (Looking forward to starting this up again - might wait for book 8 though)
Eve Online
Hellgate (if it counts)

Dungeons and Dragons Online, Dark Age of Camelot, Age of Conan and Warhammer Online are about the only ones I have left to try before I cry. I think if Star Wars Galaxies was still the game it used to be, it would be perfect for me. But alas...

Guess I should try it too, you never know.

Ultima Online, NWN(pw mods), Guild Wars, EVE, Wow, Lotro and Warhammer Online. Of those, WoW and Warhammer are probably my faves.

You should give WAR a shot if you havent already, the early game is solid and highly entertaining, what killed it was the endgame but the new Lands of the Dead zone might just fix that.

Yeah, I'm hoping to give Warhammer a try soon. Just need to get a hold of the client somewhere.

Oh joy, so the usual "put your client on DVD's for me" tactic isn't going to work here.

How much patching can I expect?

World of Warcraft.

Tried Guild Wars, Eve, Runes of Magic. Found myself going back to WoW >.>
Waiting for Star Wars :D

How much patching can I expect?
From retail? a rather hefty 700 meg initial DL and then a crapload of small incremental updates.

I'll be renewing my sub when Lands of the Dead launches, too see if its worth keeping it active. Hoping so.

Thanks, I feared as much.
