What movie did you last watch thread.

Watched The Martian, and just wow, I mean really it was one of the best movies I have watched in years, it goes to show that good movies can still be made based on storytelling and acting and not CGI and explosions. I highly recommend this, it felt perfectly balanced.

The Man From Nowhere. Brilliant Korean action/drama film. Similar to movies like Man on Fire or Taken. 9.5/10

1000 to 1. The true story of Cory Weissman, a highschool basketball "superstar" who suffered a stroke in his first year of college and how he fought his way through it. Quite a tear-jerker this one. 8/10

watched San Andreas last night, wasnt bad at all but not my cup of tee... i enjoyed the last Knights though

Watched Jurassic World. My wife stayed awake so it automatically gets points there. A well made action romp. Just like the park visitors in the movie it seems audience also wants "more teeth". I think it paid off. Never heard of the director, but when I googled him I found out he is directing Star Wars IX... So good for him!

I read his book about 4 months ago. The movie was really awesome and i think Matt Damon was the best cast person for it (beside the internet meme's about him). but i really disliked the one scene where they remove his boobs text, that was seriously funny. probably the funniest part of the whole damn book.

But as a motion picture goes, they where very close to the book!

Watched Touchback over the weekend. Quite enjoyed it and I blamed the gf for making me watch a "pull on the heart strings movie"

Watched Dragonball Z Resurrection F. Hearing the Maximum the Hormone Frieza theme song in that movie was awesome!

Crimson Peak

Beautiful film but advertised as a horror and was actually a pretty slow drama that featured some badly cg'd ghosts. Would still recommend for the cinematography alone but definitely not at the prices cinemas charge these days.
