What movie did you last watch thread.

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug

My genre, my all time favourite kind movie. So it's easily a 9 or 10. I was glued from start to finish (which came too soon for me). There wasn't anything I could find to fault. Would love to go again soon and catch it in 2D to see if there is anything lost in the 3D HFR version.

The short and sweet is that my head is a still firmly lost in Middle Earth.
how about those barrels that didn't seem to take in any water :p

it was pretty awesome, better than the first one I think. Smaug was actually kinda terrifying and "younger" Legolas is a bloody bad ass! and he looks less... gay than he did in LOTR :D

Ah, the barrels. I was lost in emotion watching the orcs chasing them. The special effects were amazing. Stars in my eyes I reckon.

Smaug definitely effective in the roll.
Orlando Bloom was far more convincing and going to be interesting to see the culmination of his chase.

yeah the river rapids scene was my favourite

One of my all time favorites.

Finally got around to Pacific Rim - which was one giant MEH.
if MEH is code for fuckingamazinglyawesome then yes, I agree

Nope. I never though a movie about giant robots klapping giant lizard things could possibly be boring - yet they managed it.
One thing about it is pretty amazing though: Del Toro's Michael Bay impersonation is absolutely brilliant.

I last watched Shucks movie.....

I felt like I lost 10 brain cells there....It wasn't hilarious; made me cringe at times, and I could see some of the acts were acted out (people were paid to act it out)

watched Frozen.

very very good movie. typical Disney. feels like you are watching a animated musical

watched casino royale again last night

Daniel Craig is definitely great in the Bond role. Fast with plenty of action and great to escape reality.

Decided to watch the Hobbit movie again with a mate but this time in 2D. I am interested to see if the 3D HFR makes it any more real.

Riddick: ....meh. maybe the next one will be better
I actually liked it. Well kinda. He felt a bit "overpowered" to borrow some gaming parlance, but could have been worse. I hope the next one goes more into the underverse angle.

My condolences. In truth this is one aspect of South Africans that I just don't get. We've got so much going for us and *that* is what ends up being our most prominent film series. ai...

The weird thing is this is (in my experience) linked 100% to which bond actor was acting when the person in question grew up (~16 yo). e.g. For my parents its Sean Connery for me its Brosnan etc.
