What movie did you last watch thread.

concussion, its about a lesbian lady who's kind of a prostitute :wtf: and baggage claim, very flou atleast paula patton is in there

Ender's Game. Awesome effects, very EVE like and the story was not atrocious. Acting, left a lot to be desired and frankly it didn't grasp me as much as I had expected.

7/10, Ender's breaking voice irritated the crap out of me.

Watched The Wolf Of Wall Street last night, very, very good film. Morbid and messed up and such a douch, but amazingly well done. I did not realise it was possible to stay riveted for three hours!

^ I believe it's very similar to Boiler room?

I haven't seen Boiler Room. The Wolf Of Wall Street is the true story about Jordan Belfort, a scummy stock broker, bad husband, and all round horrible human being that manipulated his clients, the stock market in general and did bucket loads of insider trading in order to make loads of money at the cost of legit investors. It doesn't sound very exceptional in it's summary, but the kicker is that Belfort is played perfectly by Leo DiCaprio, his right hand man is played by Jonah Hill in what I'm sure will nab him his second Oscar, and it was directed by Martin Scorsese, who just proves again why he is considered a master of his craft. Seriously, the film is 180 minutes long.

And I could not look away.

I watched Mutant Chronicles was not as kak as I thought it was gonna be.

Lol, you sure? Doesn't sound like an Oscar is in their future :p

Basically similar, but the dude started working for a firm that were taking mad advantage of their investors all for their gain. Selling non existent stock etc etc. Seems very similar.

I'm a big fan of DiCaprio, but from what I've heard, it is rather filled with obscenity. I tend to steer away from that. (Called me old fashioned)

*Seems like DiCaprio and Scorsese have a Depp and Burton relationship as of late.

I did forget to add that, this is a very blunt look. Lots of swearing, drugs, sex, nudity, and general messiness. It's not for the light hearted or even slightly prudish; it's a lot to stomach.

The man is a psychopath, IMO, and they show you all the evidence for it.

EDIT:
Mega Shark vs Mecha Shark .......... ridiculous but in an entertaining, "how-do-they-make-poop-like-this" way :D

I watched Sharknado last week, very similar. It's like a car crash. You can't look away, but not because it's good.

You know that Sharnado holds a 82% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes? :D

People LOVE those things - they're totally purpose made.

Jobs

The Steve jobs movie, I thought it was pretty decent despite some bad reviews, I just have a thing for those type of movies, movies about peoples lives etc

(American Gangster, blow, Wolf of Wall Street etc)

If there are any other movies like this Id gladly take some recommendations

I liked it, but the thing is, his story has been told so many times, it was as if I have seen it before. Which sucked. :(

Just finish watch Ender's Game - Great movie, really enjoyed the concept and the storyline overall.
Now need to get the book and read it :)

You guys should read the book, it'll change your life, especially since there is an entire story arc they left out (involving Ender's siblings). The movie was good though.

I recently watched a certain movie for the 1st time :o. It's a brilliant movie, I can't say much more because the 1st rule of the movie is not to talk about the movie :p

Ender's game movie was OK. Effects were awesome but they left out so much that almost half of the book was skipped....and the made up ending that does not happen until later on. BLEGH!

Read the book, I recently got my hands on a 2nd copy, a 1st edition, seriously will change how you think about many things.
