What movie did you last watch thread.

I loved the expendables and the second one.The thing is not to take it seriously. It is like a Call of Duty Campaign dumb but fun.

The same with Pacific Rim. If you went in there expecting an Oscar movie, you were not going to enjoy it. If you went in expecting giant robots punching giant monsters, it was a hell of a good time.

There's pretty much a genre of movies that are purely for mindless entertainment (cue list of Michael Bay productions). This certainly doesn't mean that they're bad, just that you can't go see them expecting a good plot and interesting characters, more boom boom and kapows :)

The problem with this is that most people do go to a cinema and expect something massive. Then you keep hearing about how bad a movie was, even though you thoroughly enjoyed it for what it was.

I honestly don't listen to reviewers anymore, often I read a terrible review of a movie, and I really enjoyed it! Then again, I may just be a Philistine :p

Yeah, I haven't done so in a while. But I do have a few trusted friends who normally like the same things that I do...there are a few odd times when we don't really match up at all.

That sounds like the way to go, you've just got to find people with the same taste as you, then you can trust their reviews :)

I have no idea how this happened, but my girl managed to get us into an early screening of

Here are two of the best internet independent movies I have seen in a while .
and
Thank you something awful.

After Earth.

Will Smith in it. It was a weak plot, acting and special effects, but enjoyed it as I really enjoy Smith and Sci Fi. Otherwise it was a plot that had good potential but fell horribly short of delivering the goods.

But WOW! It was EPIC! If i must be honest I really enjoyed the first one, probably a bit more than this one, but it was still great!

So when it comes out next Friday do yourselves a favor...

Yeah look I am the biggest Batman fan in the world and I reckon the last Batman Trilogy was amazing, especially The Dark Night which is my all all time fav movie :D I just think Lotr was perfect where as the Batman Trilogy wasn't.

I watched 21 Jump Street last night...haven't laughed so hard in a movie for a very long time!! Was really funny.
I also watched Pitch Perfect again...judge me all you want, I love that damn movie; I just wish I had a talent for sinning like that.

watched Wolf of wall street last night and it was....not the greatest movie out there but certainly interesting... Leo really is a good actor and he did a brilliant job playing such an arrogant rich fool of a person
