What Taking Intel X25-M Gen2 so long to get here

I've been waiting since december to get an Intel SSD the X25-M Gen2 80Gb for my boot drive and some key apps. But there just isn't any stock, like ever, I've been checking and querying every week since the beginning of December.

WTF is up with the supply of these drives, I know of two other people waiting for these too.

I won't do any other drive, since the Intel ones have the Best Value/performance/capacity ratio of the lot.

*sigh

Anyone know someone in the industry that can explain, I've been recently updated that stock is only now expected at the end of Feb.
 
Traditionally, January is a very slow month with regard to stock availability. Things should start picking up this week, but most of the specialty components will only start arriving late next week/early feb.

It really sucks. Waited for my 5870s for over 2 months...
