What would you buy this for?

Hi guys,

I just want to get an idea if I can still sell some PC parts when they become available with my next upgrade. I'll have the following components for sale:

Intel Core2Duo E8500 running 100% stable at 4.11GHz
A HUGE coolermaster heatsink
XFX N790i Ultra Tri-SLi Motherboard (best motherboard I've ever owned)
4GB (2x2GB Kingston 1800MHz DDR3 RAM)

I would love to get at least R4000 for the above components. Do you think it's possible?

r4000? I think it's a bit much but possibly i suppose. Problem is it's lga775 stuff, and the e8300 isn't the highest end chip. But I reckon:
e8300 with heatsink - r1k
790i - r1k
4gb ram - r1-1,5k

R4k seems a bit steep. Unfortunately 2nd hand pc components are worth nothing.

I sold my C2D E8400, 4GB RAM, 250 GB HDD, Gaming Case, Asus P5ND SLi board R2k. Could have maybe got R2.5k if I wanted a few more weeks but honestly not worth it.

Good luck.

Nah it's not problem. I'll probably end up building another PC with the components. People are more likely to buy a complete PC than buy parts. I've done this maaaaany times before :)

The problem selling it as a complete unit is that you have some exceptionally high end pieces in there for what is going to end up being a very mid-range gaming pc. Personally I'd sell it all split.

I'm gonna slap the mobo, cpu and ram into a new chassis with PSU, HDD and DVD writer along with a 9800GT and sell it for, like, R6000 should be do-able.

Edit : the CPU is an E8500 :D
