Rather go for a GTX460. It out performs the 465. And go for a 120gig SSD.

Ja, I'd get 2 x GTX460 in SLi and if you;ve got the money to blow, get an SSD for your OS and frequently accessed programs, and a large HDD for storage. You can get 2tb for under 1k atm.

Ya i'm planning on getting 2 GTX 460's when i get the cash.. for now just one..

SDDs are insanely fast, much, much faster than HDDs. It has no moving parts so any data you want to access is near instant, whereas a harddrive is constantly spinning to find things. = Much slower.

The VelociRaptor is ranked no: 246 with a rating of 746 on Passmark.
A better option would have been: Western Digital Caviar Black WD1002FAEX 1TB - 64MB cache 6Gbps transfer. Passmark position is 223 and a rating of 781. That is to say if you M/board supports 6Gbps.

The way I see the memory. It is either 3x2GB=6GB or 6x2GB=12GB due to the advantage of triple channel on the i7 950.

Ps. frank007 - nice rig! Very close to what I am looking at.

Rig I am looking at (almost finalised):
MB: Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R Rev 2
CPU: i7 950
GPU: nVidia GeForce GTX 570
Memory: Corsair 6GB DDR3 SDRAM CMP6GX3M3A1600C7
HDD: 2x Western Digital Caviar Black WD1002FAEX 1TB S-ATA6G
Case: CM HAF-X 942 (perhaps the nVidia edition :) )
PSU: CM Silent*Pro*Gold*800W
K/board: Logitech G110
optional: Corsair*CSSD-F120Gb2-BRKT - 2.5" 120Gb Force Solid
