Where Are the Proper VR Games?

Thanks Tjitah! I will research all of those and have a look. :)

I see my Rift is only scheduled for delivery at the end of August. :(
Pleasure mate. You're going to have a ball. I also waited and contemplated for a long time, but took the plunge a few months ago and the Oculus is great fun.

You may be disappointed at first, because the resolution is quite poor and appear pixellated at first. There is also quite a bit of "screen-door" effect and "god-rays", where you can see light bleeding on the sides or white streaks in high-contrast screens (eg white letters on black background). But once you're inside a well-designed game, those issues disappear completely and your brain kind of fills in the details. The sense of immersion and spatial awareness completely replace any deficiencies.

Also make sure that you position the headset properly on your face, so that the two lenses are DIRECTLY in front of your eyes and angled correctly. You will see that moving it around dramatically affects the image quality and focal point. Within a few tries you'll get it just right and hit the sweet spot and then the Oculus is bliss :-)

My friend brought a Vive with him when he went to the US(he and another friend of mine klapped together)

Games we have played so far (not sure about the availability on the Rift):
SuperHot VR (OMFG MUST PLAY!)
Hoops VR (Fun game to play with friends, pretty basic but alot of fun)
Hotdogs, Guns and Horseshoes (Gun simulator with alot of different modes)
Sairento (Action game with a good teleport mechanic, only played one stage but enjoyed it quite a bit)
Gorn (Need more room space as his cupboard got a few knocks in)
Elite Dangerous (I played with the keyboard and could not find the keys as easy as I thought)
2D games on a massive screen on a balcony or in space (because why not)

Before he got the Vive he used a Dev kit Rift and we played Dirt Rally and Project Cars, which was fun as well. Dirt Rally was the most fun out of the two for me.

I also want VR now :( but I have a wedding coming up.

lol.... that made my head hurt.

I think it was intended to be played with a HOTAS in mind. I don't anyone who buys a VR for Elite will acceptably play using the keyboard.

Lol same for me when typing it XD (fixed, slightly)

Lol yeah true... I just signed in to my account on his PC to test and get a feel for it. I didn't realise how big a Cobra MK3 is until I got that VR feel, and walked around in one(granted my character is still sitting in his seat)

VR does an amazing Job of scaling, standing in the world and looking at a zombie coming at you at eye level or a robot leering over you is just unnerving as hell.

I've played on a Vive so awesome.

I would like to try an occulus though I want the vr world but I also want to play it more traditionally seating with controller or mouse and see how that goes.
