Which game client do you hate the most?

So I've been installing some games on my pc over the weekend and after waiting for probably 15 minutes for GFWL to do its "thing" after installing Bulletstorm, I was reminded about how much I hate Games for Windows Live.
So I'm wondering am I the only one or which game client do you hate the most?

My vote obviously goes to Games for Windows Live. Besides the regular updates at the worst of times and slow authentication, I've actually lost saved games for more than one game when I transferred everything from my old pc to the new.

Other choices (game clients) that I can think of:
- Steam (my favourite)
- Origin (no opinion as I'm not really using it)
- Ubisoft Launcher (not exactly a game client, but still requires authentication, does updates, etc.)

Steam takes the position for my most beloved client, and UPlay would have to take the position as the one I hate the most. IF UPlay didn't require you to be online all the time, I might have been able to live with it, but that is just a deal-breaker for me.

As a user...

I like battlenet, i think that does everything right! If only EA did that for BF3.
Steam: Always crashes or has a update with me.
Orgin: , just doesnt do things it should do, like have a browser in it for starters.
Windows live: Again does nothing for me to want to use it.
Ubisoft: hahaha i just hate them.

I agree with Graal, Steam is awesome. I know Origin is still in beta but it is terrible! Basic resume support is faulty, I had to download my Battlefield 3 client from another source because Origin decided that 3.9 GB was not enough and went on downloading about 4.6 GB until I stopped it.

Steam: Since the arrival of uncapped its become the best(before uncapped regular updates and constant connection aren't a problem anymore)
GFWL: no point
Origin: Worst idea since the Poison ivy toilet paper. (watch origin with process monitor you'll understand, from start it looks at everything inside programdata.

I hate pretty much all of them.

Steam: Slow, should be renamed to Sir Crashalot, the download management is completely retarded, offline support is close to non-exsistant and there is no way at all to get around any of it.

WinLive: I dunno where to start, but atleast I can avoid all it's crap by just making an offline profile.

Uplay: So far I haven't gotten any problems other than it taking a little while to get the game open.

Origin: It's from EA, nuff said right there.

Battle.net: I thought it was pretty awesome the 1st time I used it, but than it started giving all the same issues I have with Steam.

True dat!

I personally have no issue with Steam and I love it (especially the specials). Never really gives me any issues.
Origin just seems like a direct spoof of Steam with The Sims and BF3 to choose from! Hmmm... tough choice!

I must say that I have 0 issues with Steam... works great since day one, zero crashes and when upgrading computers, I simply remove the hard drive from the old computer containing the Steam folder, place it in the new pc and everything just works. New specials weekly and since I'm automatically signed in once when the computer starts up, everything works great from there forward.

Origin seems pointless... I think using th internet browser is boss though. If we could just have the in-browser part and no actual client it is 100times better than steam.

What I don't understand is why I need a client at all... What is wrong with my operating system? Did I not buy it as a platform to launch files? Ffs.

Ye steam is prolly my most fav and Origin my least fav. But atleast I didn't have any problems with the download of the BF3 beta on Origin as a lot of people had.

I have no specific issues with Origin client itself, it's functional but nothing really interesting. The store is retarded though considering they still sell old games at original RRP when you can get them for less than R100 at retail.

+1

With you all the way there my friend!
Absolutely hate GFWL!

Have to agree, GFWL SUCKS!!! lol, and i really dont like the idea of Origin... but i started using steam recently and i must say, its the best one so far!

Steam has been going the longest and is the most used... They have more money assigned to it I would imagine.

Origin isn't too bad... I just don't get the point of bf3 needing so many things to open.... I just want my os running.

So far I haven't had issues with Origin, I just don't see it adding much, if any, value. But as long as it doesn't cause issues for running BF3 I don't mind it.
I used to hate steam - in my internet-less days but since getting uncapped and a credit card, Steam has become an all to familiar friend, who regularly lightens my wallet ;)

GFWL is still, by far, the worst.

Steam is the worst for me, its forever updating, downloads when you tell it not to and continues downloading when you exit steam( I have to end the process through Task Manager). IMO if there is one platform that prevents you from playing the game you bought for as long as possible, its Steam.

The thing I like about Origin is that you can stop an update and clear the downloaded data, therefore yoou don't have to download a mass of updates to play your game. I can also start up Origin in a few seconds whereas Steam needs 2mb of bandwidth to log on.

I'd prefer not to have any game clients, I prefer just starting up a game and playing. And why don't the games that come with Steam and Origin have proper printed manuals?

Just windows live, it's such a fail compared to xbox live.

It's not meant to run on a 386sx btw ;)
