Which store has the cheapest PC games?

Damn, Takealot's price actually went up. SC2 was R270 a few months back. Was hoping they'd drop it closer to R200 in the future.

Is it just me, or has Takealot recently gone from the "go to store" in reasonable game pricing to the rather pricey retailer some of us didn't expect it would be?

I saw Starcraft 2 in store at CNA for R199 this weekend, was really tempted.

Nope, I agree. They seem to have lost that edge they always had. Their whole Savealot section is a joke as well.

Their stock standard price for a new PC game is now R385. I'm actually surprised that their Tomb Raider is priced at R351

Can't agree more. With computer components they always had one of the widest ranges of products at great prices, now my first stop is Rebeltech or Prophecy.

I think it has to do with the fact that they lost access to Amazon's catalogue for their More UK and More US sections. Those sections actually brought in a lot of money.

I sometimes find it ridiculous what some places do. a very well known music store that sells games as well had the same title "Deus Ex : Human Revolution" in both the standard and "bargain bin/bestsellers/greatest hits/value - GOTY" varieties. Standard sold for R299 while the GOTY edition in the "bargain bin" cover sold for R149. Makes no sense at all. Same retailer also sells FIFA 12 and FIFA 13 for the same price
