Well microsoft has been releasing black and white for a long time now. And ive seen them release special edition colours like red.

Sony has just been black up until now.

In Japan Sony releases colours they dont make it to European or American markets often... The white looks cool, i wont buy it i dirty it too quick..

By the loooks of it if the colour controllers are anything to go by, you should see a blue, red, and silver soon imho.

These guys are clever....Waiting until christmas time to release the White PS3, even though it was inevitable. Guess some lucky people will be getting a white PS3 from Santa......wish it was me

I noticed this on the weekend. Looks quite lekker. But as mentioned earlier in the discussion, I think this will get dirty very quickly, or at least start looking old very soon.

Like the fat version of the Xbox 360. Got really dusty and eventually looked like it had a dust-taint that could never be fully removed.

Yeah. Because it is from Incredible Rip-Off. I buy very few things (if any) from them.

bt games also sell the different colour controllers - bought a red one two weeks ago. They have red and blue. Paid R615ish, same as the standard dualshock.

You get them here also, red, green, blue, silver and white i think... You can buy it from most retailers.

I saw a silver console in CNA over the weekend.... no lies.
Personally I still prefer the Black ones. Just fits in with my TV, AMP, XBox etc etc etc.
I had a white WII and it was an eye sore

Black shows dust more, although I suppose if the dust were to cause discolouration it wouldn't be obvious on a black model. Easily prevented by dusting once a year though.

The only problem with differently coloured consoles is controller colours. Lets say one of the white controllers breaks or you dog pee's on it or what ever. Finding another white one will be a nightmare.
