The land of South Africa belongs to the landless, EFF leader Julius Malema said on Sunday.

"This is your land. You (the landless) do not have to pay for the land. It has been already paid by the sweat of your fathers," he said at the launch in Marikana, North West, of his political party. the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF).

He said white South Africans were still refusing to hand over the land they inherited through theft.

Fine, give them the land but the soil that was developed into useful farming land and land clearing should be given to the current land owners. When they paid for the land it was useless and since then its been developed. Its only fair that the original land be transferred for free but the investment into that land is not their property and should either be compensated for or at no expense to the farmer returned to its original status.
Face it, its not a patch of rocky dirt anymore without fences, roads, power cables, plumbing and housing anymore, that wasn't there originally. Its like that Shakespeare play, a pound of flesh and nothing more, if one drop of blood is taken then you are in for shit.

Exactly how many years of this gibberish will we have to endure?

"inherited through theft"...I'd imagine he is familiar with the word "theft" so I can only conclude that he doesn't know what "inherited" means.
 
Someone needs to shoot this uneducated idiot, rather than chanting songs and putting this country's economy in danger. It would at least make this country enjoyable to live in :rolleyes:
 
Just like most of the things he says, they are in no way based in reality. He just says stuff that will get poor, uneducated people all riled up and on his side, but in reality, there is no way he can actually do what he says.

Let's say just for the sake of argument that everyone is actually ok with giving away their homes, farms, businesses and livelihoods, and that he can actually figure out who should get the land, most property is in fact not paid off, and the titles are held by the banks. Who will pay the banks all the money owed? They paid the money out and are counting on the repayments, and what about all the people and funds that are invested in bonds? The banks would go under and the stock market would crumble.

Then considering that he thinks land is free, who would pay rates and taxes on the land? Surely not the people he says he will give it to, he already says they don't need to pay for it, that's a big chunk of revenue cut off from the municipality, who now won't be able to provide water, electricity, sewerage services, refuse removal, etc...

Seriously though, its so hypocritical for him to talk about stealing. He stole millions from the tax payer, from the people, and now he talks about whites stealing land. While that very well may be true, you can't just give all the land back like Zim did - I mean, fucking look at Zimbabwe you fool. Plunging your country into deep poverty and losing all those farm workers their jobs. This guy runs off sensationalism.

Oops, I meant *dividing peeps.

Basically Malema's statement is akin to hate speech and it groups all white people into one group and black people into another (in essence he's sowing division), and that's pretty messed up (but then again he is pretty messed up). What I'm saying though, is that answering by saying "How about the Blacks give back our land?", it kind of has a similar effect to what Malema is saying in terms of dividing people.

Ah I see. Agreed. For a second there I thought it was some sort of youth slang I've just lost touch with or something, lol.

+1. Malema is trying to be divisive and play black people and white people against each other for his own gain. Getting all black vs white just plays right into his game.

Sometimes I think he's actually trying to start a civil war
 
I've said this before and I'll say it again.

He plays dumb, he is not.
He knows how to work the people. He knows which strings to pull to get hate going.
Best is to ignore him. He will have followers but then so does Scientology.
