Please try to keep this clean of political flaming :) We have a nice community feel going on here and fighting is the last thing we need.

So who are you voting for, if you're voting for at all? I'm personally a huge DA supporter, especially after seeing how excellently they've been running the City of Cape Town!

Grrr, blasted satellite interwebz, missclicked but just to let you know that there will not be an 'X' placed next to anyone from the ruling party (They are still stuffing up my water and lights account).
 
I personally couldn't care less who you're voting for... as long as you vote.

If you do NOT, then you have NO right to complain about our country for the next 5years.
 
Personally I'm voting for COPE. They're the only real opposition to the ANC and our greatest chance at taking away as much power from JZ as possible.

I considered DA as well but ultimately decided it would be a wasted vote: there's zero chance a predominantly white party will be allowed any major power in this country ever again.

The DA is actually 60% black!

But anyway, according to the latest Ipsos Markinor poll results that have been released, the DA will get more votes than COPE anyway. COPE is always an option for me, but they're going to have to prove they're not the ANC 2.0 first.
 
I will definitely vote but haven't decided for which party yet. The ANC will definitely not get my vote.

I suggest you take a look at what the DA has done since they've taken control of the City of Cape Town. They've firstly taken the city's budget out of a shortfall to a surplus, they've more than doubled the rate of housing delivery, increased the amount of free water and other basic services provided to the poor and by simply taking a walk around the CBD, you'll notice it's much, much cleaner.

Helen Zille (who won World Mayor 2008) has done an amazing job of cleaning up the city and getting it ready for next year's world cup. Around R8 billion worth of developments in the inner-city have been secured for the period leading up until next year.

So all in all, the DA have been given something with which to prove themselves and they've more than done that.

I'm not voting, but not by choice. Communist Party go!! Haha, seriously though, who votes communism into power?
 
no freedom front on the list...but so so far my votes would either go FF or ID, maybe vote local for the one, and national for the other, still some time to think about it.
