Who owns firearms and what have you got?

The CZ75 Shadow gets awesome reviews, lots of people using it in IPSC.

Looking at getting a Glock 17 Gen 4 some time soon, need to get a safe before I can do / hand in my competency. Then only can I buy the G17. Here it is:

Dude go for m1991 rather, shoots a lot smoother.

My weapon is always concealed...

LOL, yeah, 'cos you're ashamed of it's size :D:D:D

I have shot Glocks so many times, I really love the look and feel of it... Also love the safe systems and having no external safety etc. Once of the most basic guns to shoot and take apart to clean and repair etc...

I'm keen on going through the process of getting a license and handgun, but what are the costs of handguns these days? New and second hand?

Second hand you can pick up a handgun from say R2000 to whatever price, a nice gun for around R5-6k second hand. New you can get these for around R7k - whatever, depending on what you want.

The Glock 17 Gen 4 that I posted I can get for around R7800...

that's a shitload of money for a gun you'r not even allowed to shoot criminals with, unless of course they shoot you first

I have a 12 gauge pump action shotgun concealed in my pants :D
Anyone know where I can buy those cool air rifles which loads those metal studs in cape town? Do I need a license for it?

LOL, yeah, I had double posts in like 2 threads for a while... when I clicked on Quick reply it would ask me if I wanted to leave the page, then went to advanced editor, then I clicked on post and i had double posts.

Removed some of them, did not see this one.

I've been getting a lot of the "do you want to leave this page?" crap these past couple of days :wtf:

Sho, quite a range then hey. Plus then I'd need a good safe and all that too. WIll have to save quite a bit.

The entire process is likely to cost me over R10 000, seeing as I need to buy a gun, a safe, visit and/or join a shooting club, pay the licensing fees, etc.

You can pick up second-hand guns for cheap, but the problem is that some of the cheaper guns are often hard to repair and/or find parts to replace broken mechanisms. One of the reasons I'm going for a CZ is they're robust and finding new parts for them is relatively easy.
