For me it depends on the competitive posibilities of the game.

Well as far as my research has shown, there will be dedicated servers.So might be worth spending time on, main pulling point for me is the RPG type elements.

They announced today that the "Dedicated server files will be freely available", so there should not be a shortage of servers on release day.

Finances, for some odd reason I decided to buy two Xbox360 controllers for the PC once and for all. No more hassle with emulating my existing controllers and pretending I'm playing with one.

Hopefully Brink will have staying power so that I can take my time to get it...

I will see how it fares after release. Don't want to buy into another game that lasts all of a week and then only ten okes are still playing and with the Witcher 2 coming out I might not have time anyway.

Yeah that's my problem as well. I'm definitely getting Brink on release day, but now that I will have a PC capable of running Witcher 2, I don't know if I'll still play Brink all that much when I get Witcher. I'll have to divide my time between the PC and PS3.

Diving my time between the two is already a huge issue for me. This weekend is dedicated to PS3.

Yup I remember clearly. I remember TF2 came out a week later and killed it.

Witcher 2, Dirt 3, Brink in order of priority depending on money and time....

I enjoyed quake wars, but there were balance issues in the beginning and before they got round to fixing them everyone abandoned ship for the next shiny... Just hope Brink plays as good as it looks.
