Why do people like Diablo?

lol, Thanks FireFly. Yeah I'm not the drinking type and I'm too paranoid to leave my girls home alone at night in this damn country
 
I really really tried to get into Diablo, but i get frustrated playing games where my stats determine my skill level.

Having said that, I somehow love Borderlands, and how the levelling up affects the quests and stuff you do. Very counter-active argument, i think I just dont enjoy spam clicking :P
 
i'd say mainly for nostalgia factors. the 2nd one was a very simple game which worked well, had good heroes and skill trees, and Diablo III rly looks fun. i still prefer Titan quest as my favorite type of game similar to diablo. i actually would prefer titan quest 2 than diablo III.

well first of all comparing the 2 is a unfair... if you look at the time in which each 1 came out and compare them in that regard... diablo will win hands down.

i played Titans quest and loved it... same feeling as diablo just better graphic en diff. place and time in the worlds timeline, but it just felt like a copy, modify and paste game... diablo set the trend for hack and slash...

look im not trying to hack your opinion, cause all to there own, but i think D3 will bring a very good game... IF IT COMES. and then also if it will bring more issues( ex. lan vs. no lan / internet play only...ect.).

so what do you think now knowing that?
