Why do we buy gaming and tech magazines?

Dude, yes you, the one playing Pokemon
Why order paper walkthroughs when you can simply go to IGN and either get a free one or a nice HD Digital one for a fractin of the price?
I only buy magazines when I'm in them, for the most part though
I don't magazines because everyone knows I can't read

Cause I use it when I go to the drakensberg or somewhere I can't use the internet and don't feel like printing out 100's of pages. I normally don't take my laptop with to the berg resorts and stuff.

Makes sense I guess, I thought the walkthrougs on Pokemon was simple, catch them all and then you're done?

Yep but theres still hidden items which we don't know about without the walkthrough which may help you evolve certain pokemon or get more money like the Evolution stones and Nuggets. Nintendo likes to hide things well.

Evolution stones are evil... or at least that's how they made it seem in the series

I only ever tend to buy a PC Magazine when im in the market for hardware and there is a specific article about that very hardware in that magazine.
Demos / trailers dont sell mazagines for me , and game reviews are plenty (thanks mygaming)
NAG / PC Format might note where I might find a good deal on the hardware I am interested in buying or direct my interest into a specific brand , I hardly ever buy a gaming mag for any other reason.
