Why hasn't Sony told anyone that the PS4 now supports PS2 games?

Seriously? Did this come in the last patch where they said it was just minor bug fixes?

I thought it was only for the Star Wars games that comes with the Star Wars Darth Vader console?

Wait what so if i put in my old ps2 games they should theoretically work ? if so im ordering ffXII right now :p

Anyone managed to have a ps2 game working on the ps4?

Feedback would be nice

It's not backwards compatibility, it's emulation. Currently only 3 Star Wars games from the PS2 can be bought on PSN and played on the PS4. They look better and run better, which is to be expected because they're being emulated. The same thing has existed on PC for a while. That's it. You can't put a disk in and play PS2 games, I don't think anyone is saying that you can.

Maybe you'll hear more about Sony's plans at PSX.
