Wii U on special for R1,000

I don't think they'll do that,they will just say they don't have stock and that when they do get the console again it will be at FULL price.

I know other stores did it when they had specials and ran out of stock so why shouldnt they do it also :D

They said the same with the 3ds xl which was R1000 in Game yet they still gave a rain check to get it at that price when they got more stock even though it said while stocks last.

They were just being nice then. No law forces them to do that.
 
Well that's good news,I was contemplating on getting the Wii U,but friends are saying no,I think I just want it to add to my console collection.
 
Since when is running out of stock false advertising? Can someone please explain how retailers are meant to sell invisible Wii U's or what makes the price permanent.
Last time I checked ads have a date and limited stock clause to prevent and protect themselves when idiots walk in with a month old special trying to get a reduced price.

Also if you get a rain check price, GET IT IN WRITING. Unless its written down, the store doesn't have to honour it, happened to me where they said they would hold at that price and then later the sale guy wasn't there and they wouldn't honour the price.
 
3rd in the line at Canal Walk Toys R Us , been here since 4:40. 10 in line at the moment, in case anybody wants to know.
 
I think it's foolish not to buy a console at R1k because it doesn't have a lot of Wii-U games at the moment. It has a crapload of Wii games and there are lots more games to come. I'm 100% happy with my Wii-U that I bought some time ago.

Also 100% happy with my old Wii so hope I can grab it while its R1000 here without going all the way to Durban as usual.
 
I was at the Centurion mall store today and there were about 30 people in the queue. The first 5-10 got consoles and the rest left unhappy :P I managed to pick-up Nintendo land for R199 from Incredible Corruption though.

Fourways had 4 units, I was lucky number 5 in the line so no console for me :D

Some crazy ugly ass bitch thought she was special though and rocked up 2 mins before the doors opened, stood at the front of the queue and then ran to the gaming section and demanded a WiiU. Needless to say that all the okes in the queue me included told her to GTFO.

So somehow the east rand mall branch only had 3 left this morning. Was about 20 people waiting to buy. Would have been nice if they told the people beforehand but that would be asking too much apparently.

I was 4th in line btw.... :(

I wonder if they will restock throughout the weekend any chance...?

That sucks is it a one day special or is it for longer?
 
I grabbed mine and a copy of Zombii U at the PE Toys R Us. Eleven consoles, something like 22 people queueing, hoping there was "more stock in the back room kept by staff."
