prove me wrong nintendo. i still think the wii is shit regardless of how many millions it's sold.
the new thing will probably make me think the same. but honestly prove me wrong
I agree man. I haven't owned a Nintendo console since they were still 8 bit and will be the first to admit I'm wrong if it does turn out to be awsome.prove me wrong nintendo. i still think the wii is shit regardless of how many millions it's sold.

Still, I threw up in my mouth a little when I first saw the new controller.
True but I'll believe it has power when the actuall specs start coming out and proving it.I think this one will be quite different from the Wii though. I assume you dislike the Wii because you're more interested in power than gimmicks, but Nintendo seems quite happy to cater to that this time around.
I feel they're trying to cater for the Wii lovers, while also trying to bring the power gamers into the fold.

As for gimmics, I personally think its a bit of a gamble on Nintendo's part. The touchpad thingy just seems very impracticle. And just imagine having to buy a replacement the first time your kid or someone drops that thing in the heat of gaming frenzy? I don't suppose a touchpad controller will come at a very affordable price?
Something else I also didn't mention is the lack of games Nintendo has been having on their present consoles, if that doesn't change and if they don't try to cater for more of a western culture then the Wii U will be a total failure.
Agreed. Can't picture those touchpad controllers coming in cheap and/or easy to replace/repair.
I would agree with your point on lack of games, except there isn't really a lack of games for the Wii. Just a lack of anything original.
Truly, every single Nintendo title of the last 10 years has just been rehash after rehash after rehash, of the same 3 or 4 tired and overspent IP's.
If they want some actual attention, they're going to have to do more than just play CoD with every single semi-successful IP they've ever had their grubby paws on...
