Will consoles turn into PCs?

Looking at the Xbox360 and PS3 when they came out they had all these nice features..... all the features that PCs had for ever, but none the less (this isn't that kind of thread) and with each update software/firmware update they get more and more PC functionality, Now consider how technology as evolved to put more things in one device (your cellphone for example) to in a way, a PC is what almost every piece of technology strives to be.
SO what do you think? In the future will your console be your PC and your PC be your console?
 
Yeah one day we are going to like okay you want a console with bluetooth qwerty keyboard and to top it all off you get a 10mega pix cam build in.
O don't forget all the free games you can download, just pay a monthly fee.(and the data cost fine frinking print)


Plus a console is already a computer on the inside :p

exactly, they already turning them into PCs with PS3s linux hack, and keyboards and mice....
 
Well everything has to evolve one of these day's we will here the console fanboy's go(granpa voice) in our day we did not have (name everything here)
 
why does consoles need to evolve to pc's when we already have pc's?
so like u really telling me is that there is no need for console's? :p

Consoles "Turning into PCs" is basicly Consoles being PC wannabes, only cheaper and will break at the lightest increase in temperature.
 
What i reckon would be like the best thing ever... would be to have Multifunction Multiplatform consoles... if you think of it that way.... that would Inevitably bring down the Platform wars if you have one console that its sole purpose would be to provide for everyone... i mean think about it.... people with multiplatforms could save themselves sooo much more money compared to people that like everything the way it is..... it would also help consume the problem of the piracy issue too....

Thats what i truly think will happen in the later future :)

Sounds like a PC, with hardware limitation.. OMG consoles are becoming macs! :eek:
