Hi. Here are my current PC specs:

Intel DQ35JO motherboard
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600
4Gb DDRII 667 RAM
500GB HDD
750w Antec PSU
Gigabyte Nvidia Geforce 8600GT 512MB

I am currently looking at buying this gpu. Not sure if it will work though.

Main concern is the PCI slot compatibility. Please advise..

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks :)

There's no issue on the PCI-e slot, it will fit. The main concern is that card is hardly an upgrade. You're better off saving a bit more and getting something like this.

To be quite honest save up for about R1500 and get a 6870. You wont see much of a perfomance boost without a high end card like the 6870. isengard has a very good suggestion. But stick with your rig and see how much you can save up

I did buy a Point of view nvidia 550 GTX ti in december. Never got it to work. So I am trying to sell it and get something slightly cheaper that will work.

To be honest all I want is HDMI, to connect to my TV. Its something that my 8600gt doesn't have, hence I'm looking for something that will just give me that port.

BTW its main purpose is for watching movies and series. Not so much gaming. Will save up so I can get a complete system at a later stage. But for now I just need something to get by

But will that work with my motherboard? Because the 550gtx I had didnt let me get past the press f2 for bios screen when I had it installed

DVI->HDMI converter?like R20 and did the job for me with my 8500gt.that or a DVI -> HDMI cable like the one that came with my screen
