Wimpy making burgers for the blind!

Not sure if this has been posted, but even if it has, it deserves another view. Truly brilliant from Wimpy. Marketing their blind menus.

A campaign recording Wimpy's efforts to let visually impaired people know that braille menus are available in all of their restaurants has created a buzz on social media sites.

The ad shows chefs painstakingly using sesame seeds to spell out a special message in braille on the tops of burger buns.

Touching moments occur when the braille burgers are served to unsuspecting visually impaired persons and their surprised reactions are recorded.

The ad started trending on Twitter on Wednesday, with the social network buzz mostly filled with praise for the campaign.

In the ad Wimpy states that the idea behind creating awareness about their braille menus was to let people know that Wimpy is a place where "everyone can feel at home".

The other day I heard a blind person complain about touchscreens on everything these day's.
 
My expression after seeing this was almost kinda like this

Really thoughtful of them and oddly enough, still an advertisement, though they put some feeling into this one...

Well now you can download an app that gives your fingers the sensation that you are touching a key and it also comes with braille!!

I think you mean if only they could make a decent burger. I find their burgers far below that of Spur taste. These Wimpy burgers taste under cooked and of low quality meat.

I like Wimpy's food to a certain extent, I just can't eat 90% of it :)

You go to Wimpy (read: a family fast-food franchise) knowing what to expect. If I wanted a first class meal then I wouldn't be caught dead in Wimpy or Spur :D
 
This is one of my favourite ads of last year (via Wimpy's ad agency MetropolitanRepublic, FYI).

Heartwarming stuff.

lol, I don't go to Wimpy anymore because of knowing what to expect lol.
Usually Spur is the place Toni and I end up going because they have a smoking section and I don't have the cash to go to too many fancy places as they are usually quite pricey. I also always know the burger from Spur will range from satisfactory to wow that hit the spot just right.
 
kudos to wimpy for this initiative. they may not have clue how to make a tasty burger, but they sure now how to give ppl good vibes :-)
